Two-step verification (MFA) setup

Two-step verification guide with pictures in pdf format, can be found at the end of the page.

1. Open web browser and go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com/

2. If You don't see Your account in the list click „Use another account“

3. Enter Your username (account_name@emu.ee) not Your email

4. Enter Your password

5. There will be a notification saying, You have 14 days to setup MFA. Click on „Skip for now“

6. In the top right corner of the windows You can see Your name initials, click on it and choose „View account“

7. In the security box click on „UPDATE INFO“

8. Click on + Add method, choose „Phone“ and click Add.

9. Choose Your country code, enter Your mobile number and click “Next”.

10. Text message will be sent to Your phone containing six-digit code. Enter it and click “Next”.

11. Number was added succesfully.

12. For next step go to https://aka.ms/MFASetup and choose university account.

13. Enter Your password and click sign in.

14. Click on "Text +XXX XXXXXX" after that text message will be sent to Your phone.

15. Enter the code from text message. If You wish to not enter the code for 90 days, check that box.

16. After sucessful setup click on account and „Sign out“.

Congratulation, You have successfully setup MFA to keep Your account safe!
